Free Hearing Screening and Consultation
Step 1)
Hearing testing may vary from a hearing screening to more comprehensive hearing testing such as an audiogram, tympanogram etc.
Step 2)
Hearing aids will be recommended only if the test results indicate that a hearing aid will improve the patient’s speech understanding.
Step 3)
Choosing which hearing aid manufacturer and style of hearing aid is suitable will depend on your hearing loss and the shape of the ear and ear canal. (In-The-Ear: ITE, Completely-in-the-ear: CIC, Behind-The Ear: BTE)
Step 4)
We offer a 60-day hearing aid trial. We care for our patients as we would our own family.
Step 5)
When requested, hearing test results will be forwarded to your physician or if results indicate a physician’s review is necessary.
Hearing Aid Fitting and Patient Instruction
The hearing aid fitting requires a variety of hearing aid measurements and your hearing experience to determine the appropriate hearing aid settings. Instruction in the use of your hearing aids during the trial is essential for a satisfactory result.
Ear Impressions
Custom in the ear hearing aids and some behind the ear hearing aids require an impression of your ear canal to conform precisely to the shape of the ear.
Follow Up Care
Once you obtain hearing aids your satisfaction will be enhanced if you schedule a routine appointment every six months or sooner if necessary. We do not charge for routine appointments.
Counseling
Once a patient is fit with hearing aids, they are encouraged to schedule an appointment every six months for a routine checkup at no charge which includes:
- Inspection of the ears
- Removal of ear wax if necessary
- Additional hearing aid adjustments and upgrades
- Medical referral when necessary
- Provide at risk patients with appropriate hearing protection (loud entertainment, mechanical noise, etc..)
Hearing Aid Testing
Hearing aid testing includes a thorough inspection of the ear canal and an audiological evaluation to determine current hearing acuity and to assess middle-ear function (tympanogram)
